That woman in California sure is getting a lot of press. From what I've read/heard she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I can sort of understand her logic.
Maybe she truly wanted a gazillion children, and maybe she thought she'd become a media sensation and people would jump to help provide her and her children with what they need.
I mean it's been done before-- companies donating diapers, formula. Didn't a couple at some time get a house built or additons to an existing house when they were blessed with a whole lotta kiddies?
We've become a society where everybody wants their 15 minutes and they want to milk it for all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ they can.
